Olde Town is a competitive and recreational club, sponsored by Alexandria RPCA. We've been in Olde Town Alexandria for more than forty years. We are a member club of the United States Fencing Association. We welcome all levels of experience from beginner to serious competitor. Classes for beginners are offered through the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities. The class is taught by competitive members of Olde Town. Come learn the basic principles of the sport and acquire the early stages of footwork, strategy, and technique.
The club meets Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. We fence at Patrick Henry Recreation Center, 4653 Taney Ave., Alexandria, Virginia 22304. The center is off Van Dorn Street, north of Landmark.
Best way is to drop by and check us out. (No floor fee for visitors.) If you decide to join, talk to Joe Hoffman. Olde Town can be reached by phone at (703) 983-7687 during the day. Ask for Joe. Membership costs $100 for a one-year membership or $30 for 3 months. Everyone fencing at the club must be a member of US Fencing.
